CHARNEL CROWN Release Debut Single "People Like You"

Dublin groove metal quartet CHARNEL CROWN have released their debut single "People Like You." Formed in December 2025, the band deal in uncompromising, riff-driven metal built on groove and raw conviction — no gimmicks, no pretence. Despite being a new name, the members bring serious live pedigree, having shared Irish stages with XENTRIX, CHELSEA GRIN, AVATAR, FOZZY, JINJER, and EVIL SCARECROW. "People Like You" arrives ahead of the band's debut EP Such Is Life, due in summer 2026.

Chuck Schuldiner, universally recognized as the "Godfather of Death Metal," was born in Glen Cove, New York. As the founder, vocalist, guitarist, and primary songwriter of DEATH, Schuldiner literally invented death metal with the band's 1987 debut "Scream Bloody Gore" and then spent the rest of his career evolving the genre beyond anyone's expectations. From the raw brutality of the early albums to the progressive sophistication of "Human," "Individual Thought Patterns," and "The Sound of Perseverance," Schuldiner proved that extreme metal could be endlessly inventive. His side project CONTROL DENIED further showcased his progressive ambitions. Schuldiner passed away on December 13, 2001 at age 34 from brain cancer, but his legacy as the single most important figure in death metal history is eternal.
