DETHKLOK's concert at Landmark Credit Union Live in Milwaukee was cut short on May 16, 2026, after heavy smoke and fog effects deployed during the set triggered the venue's fire alarms mid-show, forcing an early evacuation of the 4,500-capacity arena.
The incident took place during "The Amonklok Conquest" co-headlining tour, which DETHKLOK shares with fellow metal heavyweights AMON AMARTH. The tour, which began April 15 and is set to conclude May 21, 2026, also features support from CASTLE RAT and includes festival appearances at Welcome to Rockville and Sonic Temple.
Fortunately, both AMON AMARTH and CASTLE RAT had already completed their respective sets before the alarms were triggered, meaning only DETHKLOK's headline performance was curtailed.
Brendon Small, the creative mastermind behind DETHKLOK, addressed fans via Instagram following the incident: "Thanks for your cooperation at tonight's show. Since the show ended early, we're working with the venue to make this right for you. Ticket holders will receive an email with more information soon."
For those unfamiliar, DETHKLOK originated as the fictional death metal band at the centre of the Adult Swim animated series Metalocalypse, but evolved into a genuine performing entity. The project, celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2026, has charted three albums in the Billboard 200 Top 20 — a remarkable achievement for an act rooted in cartoon satire.
No injuries were reported. Affected ticket holders are encouraged to watch for emails from the venue regarding compensation or rescheduling options.
