EARTHSIDE Release Brooding Instrumental 'A Dying Star', Announce European Headline Tour

Progressive metal act EARTHSIDE have broken their musical silence with "A Dying Star," an instrumental single described as "a bludgeoning journey through the inner cosmos." It is the band's first release marking a new creative era, and it hits with disorienting, hypnotic force.

The track was born under unusual circumstances: guitarist Jamie Van Dyck and bassist Ryan Griffin were geographically separated from the rest of the band, leaving keyboardist Frank Sacramone and drummer Ben Shanbrom to build the foundation from scratch — piano, vintage pedals, and percussion only. What emerged is something that feels simultaneously alien and deeply felt, with "chaotic intensity cranked to the max." Recording took place at Luckchild Studio in Val-David, Québec.

Alongside the single, EARTHSIDE have announced a European headline tour running May 22 – June 5, 2026, with cellist Raphael Weinroth-Browne as support. Confirmed dates include London, Paris, Amsterdam, Cologne, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Helsinki — a formidable itinerary for a band long celebrated in the prog-metal underground.

Formed in Connecticut, EARTHSIDE spent years building a devoted following with cinematic, orchestra-augmented compositions. "A Dying Star" suggests they have not lost any of that ambition — only sharpened it. The single is available across all streaming platforms now.
