Death metal legend Kam Lee — vocalist of MASSACRE and an early member of DEATH alongside Chuck Schuldiner — has been announced as the replacement vocalist for British death metal institution BENEDICTION on their 2026 Latin American tour, scheduled for November.

The development follows the announcement that longtime BENEDICTION vocalist Dave Ingram has stepped down from regular duties due to ongoing health complications, specifically citing worsening arthritis that has made performing increasingly painful. Ingram stated: "The increase in pain, and the frustration it causes from its debilitation, has led me to this disconsolate decision." He is expected to make select appearances throughout 2026 depending on his condition, while fill-in vocalists Oscar Rilo and Dave Hunt will cover other dates.

Before accepting the position, Kam Lee made a point of seeking Ingram's blessing. "I am excited to be joining BENEDICTION as vocalist for the LATAM tour. Given my long-term friendship with Dave Ingram, it was vital for me to obtain his dark blessing before stepping into this position," Lee confirmed.

BENEDICTION described the pairing as a "legends collide" moment and a "true celebration of OLD SCHOOL DEATH METAL." The band's latest album "Ravage of Empires" was released in April 2025 via Nuclear Blast Records.
