Tasmanian technical death metal titans PSYCROPTIC have announced their new album "The Pulse Of Annihilation," set for release on July 17, 2026. The record marks the band's first full-length for Metal Blade Records and arrives as what the band is calling their most complete statement to date.
Produced by guitarist Joe Haley at Crawlspace Productions, the nine-track album features cover art by Belial Necroarts — the artist known for striking work with GAEREA and IN AETERNUM.
"This is our most epic, thrashing, technical while grooviest release yet," Haley stated, a description that aligns neatly with PSYCROPTIC's reputation for marrying machine-precision rhythmic architecture with genuine, physical impact. Bassist Todd Stern put it another way: "All my favorite PSYCROPTIC songs have this kind of 'bounce' to them that allows for just endless head-banging."
The album arrives with a lineup that reflects the band's deepened global connections. Alongside founding members David Haley (drums), Joe Haley (guitars), and Todd Stern (bass), the record features dual vocal performances from Jason Peppiatt and Jason Keyser — the latter known from technical death metal powerhouse ORIGIN.
The lead single "Gathering A Venomous Herd" sets the tone: a demanding showcase of instrumental intricacy that nevertheless retains the physical momentum PSYCROPTIC have always wielded so effectively.

The album will be available on digipak CD, vinyl, and digital formats. To support the release, PSYCROPTIC will tour Australia alongside RIVERS OF NIHIL, GROWTH, and SLAUGHTERCULT, with further Japan dates planned with RIVERS OF NIHIL and THE ZENITH PASSAGE.
