German heavy metal veterans SINNER have released "Wait," the first single from their upcoming final studio album "Boom Bang Goodbye," due July 31 via Reigning Phoenix Music. The record marks their 20th full-length album in a career stretching back to 1982 — a remarkable milestone that places them among the most prolific acts in European heavy metal history.
Produced and mixed by Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios in Denmark, the album is both a musical statement and a proper farewell. Mat SINNER, the band's founder and driving force, set the tone for the opening single: "For the first song, I wanted a positive good-time track that simply puts people in a good mood."
The guest vocal roster on "Boom Bang Goodbye" reads like a who's who of melodic rock and heavy metal's upper tier: Michael Bormann, Ronnie Romero (RAINBOW), Michael Sadler (SAGA), Björn Strid (SOILWORK), Erik Mårtensson (ECLIPSE), and Renan Zonta among others. Additional musicians include Jim Müller (KISSIN' DYNAMITE), Lisa Müller, and former member Mathias Dieth.
SINNER have never occupied the highest echelons of mainstream metal fame, but their catalogue is one of consistent quality and genuine craft — a testament to decades of work built on Mat SINNER's melodic sensibility and hard rock instincts. The involvement of Björn Strid from SOILWORK bridges the gap between SINNER's classic heavy metal roots and the modern Scandinavian scene.
"Boom Bang Goodbye" will be available from July 31. For longtime fans of European melodic heavy metal, it represents a final opportunity to hear one of the genre's most durable acts go out on their own terms — and apparently, with a smile on their face.
