Canada's progressive sci-fi metal innovators VOIVOD will release "Symphonique", a live collaboration with the Quebec Symphony Orchestra, on June 5, 2026 via Century Media Records.

Recorded live on June 4, 2025 at the Grand Theatre in Quebec City, the album spans 12 tracks and 73 minutes, blending VOIVOD's futuristic metal sound with full symphonic orchestration arranged by Hugo Begin. The band has now shared the second single, "The End Of Dormancy (Symphonique)", accompanied by a visualizer from Cloud Motion Design.

Guitarist Daniel "Chewy" Mongrain described the song: "This one is very special to me. I wrote the riffs imagining Roman naval battles with a full orchestra, like the movies from the '50s and '60s." Founding drummer Michel "Away" Langevin called the project "a longtime dream turned reality", noting that VOIVOD will perform further shows with another Quebec orchestra in 2027.

The tracklist includes a PINK FLOYD cover, "Astronomy Domine", alongside VOIVOD classics reimagined with orchestral accompaniment.
