ICE NINE KILLS have landed the first No. 1 of their career at Active Rock Radio with "Twisting The Knife," the band's collaboration with actress and singer Mckenna Grace recorded for the official "Scream 7" soundtrack (Paramount Pictures / Spyglass Media Group).

The horror-themed metalcore outfit didn't stop at radio. "Twisting The Knife" also topped Billboard's Hot Hard Rock Songs and Hard Rock Digital Song Sales charts — beating out FOO FIGHTERS — and claimed No. 1 on U.S. YouTube's Current Rock, Hard Rock and Metal music-video charts. To date the track has pulled in 32.2 million cross-platform streams, more than 10 million of them in its first week.

Fittingly for a "Scream" tie-in, the song's video is stacked with franchise nods: Roger L. Jackson reprises his iconic Ghostface voice, alongside appearances from David Arquette and Johnny Brennan.

"'Scream' has been and will always be a monumental influence on us, and the music has been every bit as important as the films themselves," said frontman Spencer Charnas, whose band first revealed the collaboration during a performance at London's OVO Arena Wembley.

The horror crossovers keep coming. A companion track, "Play Dead," arrives June 26 to mark the 10th anniversary of the game "Dead By Daylight," and the band is also working on the "Halloween" video game, with Charnas voicing a playable character. For a group that has built an entire identity around slasher cinema, topping a rock-radio chart with a bona fide "Scream" anthem is about as on-brand as a milestone gets.
