Pennsylvania metal act MOTIONLESS IN WHITE have shared "R.I.P.", a new single featuring multi-platinum, five-time Grammy-nominated artist SKYLAR GREY. The track is taken from the band's seventh album, "Decades", due July 17 via Roadrunner Records, and arrives with a video directed by Jensen Noen.

Built on glassy piano, funereal synths and intertwining male-female vocals, "R.I.P." plays like a lover's lament carved into a headstone. "Skylar's voice brought it to another level that I never could have achieved on my own," said frontman CHRIS MOTIONLESS. "Even though I wrote it through a romantic lens… it can be applied to any moment when you've had a falling out with someone you deeply care about." He described the song as capturing "the deafening silence that follows after you've said hurtful things to one another that you wish you could take back."

"Decades" is stacked with guests. Beyond GREY, the album features SLIPKNOT frontman COREY TAYLOR on the previously released "Playing God" — "I can't believe how aggressive Corey sounds," CHRIS MOTIONLESS said of the track, an "observational commentary on toxic Internet culture" — as well as DARK DIVINE's Anthony Martinez. Recorded in upstate New York and Los Angeles with co-producers Drew Fulk and Justin "JD" deBlieck, the record fuses the quintet's past, present and future into one cohesive whole.

"'Decades' is definitely heavier than some of our past albums," CHRIS MOTIONLESS noted. "Our current world bred more aggressive energy, anger, and resistance." For more than 20 years the band — completed by guitarists Ricky Olson and Ryan Sitkowski, drummer Vinny Mauro and bassist Justin Morrow — has carved out its own corner of metal, hardcore, goth and industrial, rising out of the Rust Belt to headline arenas.

MOTIONLESS IN WHITE will support the album with "The Sweat And Blood Tour", their first U.S. headline run in nearly three years, launching July 14 in Bridgeport, Connecticut with LORNA SHORE, FIT FOR A KING and STATIC DRESS. The trek includes the band's first headline appearance at Red Rocks.
