STONED JESUS Go Deeper and Darker on New Single "Under the Skin"

11 June 2026  ·  New Music

Ukrainian heavy progressive rockers STONED JESUS are back with a new single. "Under the Skin", out today via Season of Mist, marks the next phase of the band's ambitious album trilogy that began with 2025's Songs to Sun — named one of the best albums of the year by Doom Charts, Rock Hard, and The Obelisk. Where Songs to Sun leaned on catchy choruses and meaty riffs, "Under the Skin" charts darker post-metal territory, shaped in part by the band's summer tour alongside Cult of Luna.

"'Under the Skin' begins our next phase in a somewhat similar fashion, but with a sinister twist," frontman Igor Sydorenko says. "It's darker, bolder and more introspective than anything the band has done before."

The track was recorded at Goblin Sound Studio in Cologne, Germany with engineer Andy Rosczyk (ex-Ultha). The accompanying video was filmed during the sessions and edited by Marco Menestrina.
