Polish melodic death metal band BETWEEN NOTHING have released a music video for their new single, "No Heaven Here," offering a foretaste of their upcoming debut full-length album.
BETWEEN NOTHING was founded in Poznań, Poland in 2008 by guitarist and songwriter Tomasz Frąckowiak, building a sound around heavy yet melodic guitar riffs, soaring lead work and rich keyboard and orchestral arrangements. After releasing a debut demo in 2009, the band went on hiatus before returning in 2017 with the EP "For Your Enjoyment," opening a new chapter in its career.
The years that followed brought a string of singles — "Lost Faith," "Dahlia" and "Suffer & Goodbye" — that helped shape the band's musical direction, culminating in the EP "Ghost," released in March 2025. That record combined new material with songs whose roots trace back to BETWEEN NOTHING's earliest days.
The band is now working on its first full-length album while preparing a return to the live stage, with "No Heaven Here" marking the next step in that process. The single leans into a heavier, more aggressive side of BETWEEN NOTHING while keeping the melodic sensibilities and guitar harmonies that have become its trademark.
"'No Heaven Here' is one of the first BETWEEN NOTHING songs written in a lower tuning, which gave it a much heavier character," Frąckowiak said. "At the same time, it contains everything we love about melodic death metal — aggressive riffs, speed and memorable guitar melodies."
With the debut album still taking shape, "No Heaven Here" points to a band sharpening its heavier instincts without losing the melodic core that has defined it since 2008.
