U.K. progressive/alternative metal band HAKEN have announced a new EP, "In A Fever Dream," due out digitally on July 17, with physical CD and vinyl editions to follow on September 18. Alongside the announcement, the band released a music video for lead single "Delirium," directed by Oliver Kember.
The five-track EP — "In A Fever Dream," "Delirium," "Eclipsed By You," "Bleeding Sky" and "Lotus" — was co-produced and mixed by George Lever, known for his work with LOATHE and SLEEP TOKEN. The record also features guest bass contributions from Bryan Beller (Joe Satriani, THE ARISTOCRATS) and Adam "Nolly" Getgood of PERIPHERY, adding outside firepower to a project the band has described as growing out of a period of reflection and rediscovery, built around themes of vulnerability and emotional honesty.
The EP marks the band's first new release since a significant lineup shake-up: guitarist Charlie Griffiths and bassist Conner Green both departed HAKEN in January 2026 after lengthy tenures with the group, leaving "In A Fever Dream" as an early statement of where the band stands in its next chapter. Bringing in outside players like Beller and Getgood for bass duties suggests a band still finding its footing on that front while pushing forward creatively.
Physical formats for "In A Fever Dream" will include a standard CD, a Deep Blood Red vinyl LP for the European market, a Lotus White LP for the U.S., and a limited clear vinyl edition available exclusively through the band's own store — a broad rollout suggesting confidence in demand for the new material across HAKEN's global fanbase.
The EP announcement comes paired with news of a European headline tour running September through October 2026, with IHLO as support, giving fans across the continent a first chance to hear the new songs performed live. For a band whose catalog has long leaned on sprawling, conceptually ambitious full-lengths, the tighter EP format offers a leaner showcase of HAKEN's current sound as they regroup around a changed lineup.
