KAMELOT have released "Godlike Alchemy," a new song from "Dark Asylum," the band's fourteenth studio album, due August 28 via Napalm Records.
Vocalist Tommy Karevik framed the track as an argument turned inward. "What if you don't need to look outside yourself to find peace? What if you already possess the power to heal?" he said — a question that fits neatly into a record built around a soul in confinement. Guitarist and founder Thomas Youngblood has described the album's narrative as following "a soul trapped seeking truth, identity, and redemption through RavenHill's endless halls," while Karevik characterises the broader themes as "the duality of human nature: tension between fear and hope, chaos and stillness, destruction and healing."
"Godlike Alchemy" sits eighth on a fifteen-track sequence that opens with "Sanctorium" and closes with "Sanctum Requiem," bookending the record with matched liturgical framing. The full tracklist:

The guest list is unusually extensive even by KAMELOT standards. Ignacia Fernández of DECESSUS — Miss World Chile 2025, who also fronted the "Ashen World" video released in July — appears twice, including on "Sanctuary" alongside Clémentine Delauney of VISIONS OF ATLANTIS. AVANTASIA's Tobias Sammet takes "One Last Masquerade," and "Beneath The Moon (Tunglið)" pulls in Rannveig Sif Sigurðardóttir, Sólveig Sara Leupold and ELUVEITIE's Lea-Sophie Fischer. Billy King also features.
The core lineup is unchanged: Karevik, Youngblood, keyboardist Oliver Palotai, bassist Sean Tibbetts and drummer Alex Landenburg. Sascha Paeth produced, with Jacob Hansen handling mix and mastering — the same production spine that has shaped the band's sound across its modern era.
Youngblood summed up the emotional register of the album's opening statement: "It captures standing at crossroads between darkness and hope, where the journey forward begins."
KAMELOT will support the record with the "Dark Asylum World Tour," announced in February, taking in North American and European headline runs.
