KRALLICE will release its new studio album, "Scour Order," on September 18 via Profound Lore Records, marking the band's return to the label that put out its first three records after fifteen self-releases handled with help from Gilead Media and P2.
One of black metal's most prolific bands, KRALLICE is Mick Barr, Colin Marston, Nicholas McMaster and Lev Weinstein. The group formed in 2007 in Woodhaven, Queens as a two-guitar project between Marston and Barr, adding Weinstein on drums for its 2008 debut and McMaster on bass/vocals soon after. Across nine albums and three EPs, KRALLICE has continually reshaped its sound: the dense polyphony of its early records gave way to more expansive, hypnotic songwriting after "Years Past Matter" (2012) and the "Hyperion" EP (2016), while the run from "Ygg Huur" (2015) through "Mass Cathexis" (2020) leaned darker and less predictable, aided by NEUROSIS's Dave Edwardson, who has contributed vocals, lyrics and synths since 2017's "Loum."
2021's "Demonic Wealth" reset the band's lineup roles entirely, with Marston handling all guitars, synths and songwriting and Barr as sole vocalist — a lofi, synth-heavy pivot that pushed the band further from its guitar-driven roots. The four releases that followed swapped instruments again, with Barr on bass/vocals, McMaster on guitar/vocals and Marston on synths and additional drums, favoring a single-guitar, synth-laced atmosphere. That run culminated in "Inorganic Rites," which The Needle Drop called "the most cohesive and grandiose offering that KRALLICE has given us," while Sputnikmusic praised it as "yet another essential KRALLICE album."
"Scour Order" returns to KRALLICE's original two-guitar instrumentation, with Marston and Barr back on guitars and McMaster on bass, though Marston's vocals remain part of the mix. The band describes the record as raging and dark, dense yet expansive — a synthesis of the project's guitar-forward past and the atmospheric ground it has covered since. The eight-track album runs: "Agonal Shining," "Grievous Corrector," "Kill The Guardian," "Unceasing Path," "Living Useless Ritual," "Indecipherable Divinities," "Her Green Arms" and "Scour Order." It will be available on CD, LP, cassette and digital formats.

Following the release, KRALLICE will embark on its first-ever European tour, running October 8 through November 7 across Finland, the Baltics, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Czechia, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Switzerland, France and the UK, closing with an appearance at Damnation Fest in Manchester.
