Santa Fe death metal outfit STREET TOMBS will release their second full-length album, "Existence Is Corruption," on August 21 via Carbonized Records, alongside a new single and video for "Systematic Suffering."

Formed in 2017 out of Santa Fe's legendary DIY venue The Cave, STREET TOMBS built its sound on a mix of early SEPULTURA- and BOLT THROWER-indebted death metal grit and the d-beat/street-punk fury of DISCHARGE and G.B.H. After three demos, the band's 2023 debut full-length, "Reclusive Decay," drew wide underground acclaim — Metal Injection called it a record that "feels like a cross between early thrash and punk rock mixed with some serious Bolt Thrower vibes," while No Clean Singing praised its "colossal, cavern-deep vocals" — and landed at No. 38 on Decibel Magazine's Top 40 Albums of 2023 list. The band toured extensively behind it, including the "Reborn Dead Tour" supporting LEFT TO DIE and a North American run with NECROT in support of 2024's archival compilation, "RIP The Abyss."

STREET TOMBS spent much of 2025 writing "Existence Is Corruption" before entering Santa Fe's Engine 70 Studios that December with Grammy-winning producer Greg Wilkinson, who also handled additional work at Earhammer Studio in Oakland. Bassist Galen Baudhuin contributed additional recording. The eight-track album pushes further into the band's black-metal-informed roots, drawing on first-wave influences like HELLHAMMER, CELTIC FROST, BATHORY and AMEBIX while sharpening its d-beat attack.

Vocalist/guitarist Damian Jacoby described the album's first single as characteristic of the record's themes. "'Systematic Suffering,' like many of our songs on this release, echoes themes of corruption, abuse, and discrimination. Entrenched in servitude losing all desire to deny the corruption infused in our society," he said.

"Existence Is Corruption" arrives on CD, LP, cassette and digital formats, with cover art by Shane Donaldson and logo work by Ben Brodsky. STREET TOMBS will support the release with a West Coast run in September, hitting Denver, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Phoenix among other stops.
