IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson will perform a full symphonic show with Poland's Beethoven Academy Orchestra on January 30, 2027, at Spodek Arena in Katowice, in a concert billed as "The Legend Of Rock Symphonic."
The 8 p.m. show will feature orchestral arrangements of Dickinson's solo catalog alongside IRON MAIDEN staples, plus orchestral reworkings of classics by METALLICA, QUEEN, DEEP PURPLE and AC/DC. The Beethoven Academy Orchestra will be conducted by Stanisław Słowiński, with guest vocalists Grzegorz Kupczyk (ex-TURBO) and Marek Pająk of VADER joining Dickinson on stage, backed by a full rock rhythm section.
The Katowice date lands about eleven years after Dickinson's successful treatment for tongue cancer, a battle he's spoken about extensively in interviews and his 2017 memoir "What Does This Button Do?" He'll turn 68 the same month as the performance, still active as IRON MAIDEN's frontman and a working commercial airline pilot alongside his music career.
Symphonic reworkings of metal and hard rock catalogs have become a recurring format across Europe in recent years, pairing orchestras with rock and metal vocalists for one-off arena spectacles — a format Dickinson has dabbled in before with orchestral versions of his solo material. Pairing his voice with a full Polish orchestra and two respected local metal vocalists suggests a show leaning as much on classic rock repertoire as on Dickinson's own discography.
