ESCAPE THE FATE Announce 'The Last Goodbye' For October 2 — And Drop 'Paranoia', A Song Craig Mabbitt Wrote To Suppress The Feeling

ESCAPE THE FATE have announced "The Last Goodbye", their new album, for release on October 2 via Big Noise. It comes with "Paranoia", a new single and the third preview of the record after "Idle Potential" and "Déjà Vu".

For nearly two decades the Las Vegas band have worked the seam between metalcore's fury and hard rock's spectacle, turning heartbreak and self-destruction into arena-sized choruses. "Paranoia" is the most direct thing they have put out in that time, and vocalist Craig Mabbitt has been unusually plain about why it exists.

"'Paranoia' is a deep dive into what's become a consistent state of mind of mine," he said. "Putting those feelings into song helps to suppress."

That framing matches how the band have described the album as a whole. Rather than a retrospective on two decades of chaos, "The Last Goodbye" turns inward, drawing on the members' own experiences, struggles and relationships — the band, as they put it, without the armor. Still loud, still combustible, but with less between the listener and the people making the noise.

The record is the latest step in a run that began with "H8 MY SELF", ESCAPE THE FATE's first release for Big Noise, the label run by longtime collaborator and producer John Feldmann. That was followed by "Low" in March 2023 and "Cheers To Goodbye", which featured Spencer Charnas of ICE NINE KILLS.

"The Last Goodbye" track listing:

  3. Coffin Kingdom
