FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH will broadcast their September 8 concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre to the entire world free of charge, streaming exclusively through Veeps at 9 p.m. Mountain Time.
That last detail is the story. Livestreams from venues of this size are almost always ticketed, and a Red Rocks headline slot is exactly the kind of asset a band monetises. FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH are giving it away instead, wrapping it in what the announcement calls "epic new production and visuals" and a career-spanning set list. The commercial logic is not hidden — the event page carries a merchandise storefront that will be featured during the broadcast, including "Legacy" on clear vinyl, an amber wave variant with alternate gatefold art, a gold-disc CD with alternate cover art, and a 5FDP vinyl carry case, with several previously announced variants already sold out. But the show itself costs nothing to watch.
"Legacy", the band's tenth album, arrived digitally on July 31 and reaches CD, vinyl and cassette on September 18, which places the Red Rocks stream neatly between the two. Expect the new material to be worked hard.
The broadcast lands in the middle of a very long year. The 48-city North American leg of the "20th Anniversary Tour" opened July 20 at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey and runs through October 23 at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia, with Cody Jinks and EVA UNDER FIRE in support. The European leg follows in early 2027 with LAMB OF GOD and BLEED FROM WITHIN, opening January 16 in Manchester and closing February 22 in Helsinki after 21 cities.
Twenty years is measured from the band's 2005 formation rather than from "The Way Of The Fist", which did not appear until 2007 — a two-year gap that says something about how long the band spent as an unsigned proposition before becoming an arena fixture.
The tour also carries a charity component. A portion of North American ticket sales goes to high-performance programmes for U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes preparing for the 2028 Los Angeles Games, extending a long-running pattern of the band directing money towards veterans, first responders and their families.
