Canadian extreme metal band FRACTURUS are back. The Montreal outfit have released "Grace To Man", the first single from a new album due in the autumn of 2026, and used the occasion to unveil a substantially rebuilt lineup.
"Grace To Man" is a statement of intent rather than a scene-setter. Built on relentless speed, aggression and sheer momentum, it offers the first look at the band's next chapter and a blunt preview of where the new record is heading.
The band now stands as a five-piece:

- Greg Nicholls — guitars
- Rémi LeGresley — guitars
- Alexis Serré — drums
- Peter Hamm — bass
That is the news underneath the news. FRACTURUS have moved to a twin-guitar configuration and installed a new voice out front, and the band describe the roster as stronger than it has ever been. With the lineup settled, they say new music, further material and more announcements will follow over the coming weeks.
FRACTURUS have been operating out of Montreal, Québec for years, trading in death metal with a distinctly modern edge. Their catalogue includes "L'appel du vide" and 2023's "Versus The Void" — the latter tracked with Chris Donaldson of CRYPTOPSY, a producer whose fingerprints are all over the Québec extreme metal sound. Quebec's scene has long punched above its weight in death metal, and FRACTURUS have been part of that ecosystem rather than visitors to it.
The fall album will be the first full-length to feature the new configuration, and "Grace To Man" is the only piece of it in public so far. On the evidence of the single, the band have not used the personnel changes as an excuse to soften anything.
