GOD'S HATE are back. "Won't Be Disgraced", a dense and urgent three-song EP, is out now via Closed Casket Activities, written out of grief and out of the state of the wider hardcore community.
The return was not telegraphed. The band stepped away in July 2025 after their set at that year's Sound And Fury, in large part because frontman Brody King's professional wrestling career with AEW had taken over the calendar. They reappeared without warning at the closing night of the 2026 edition of the same festival on August 16, playing directly after TWITCHING TONGUES. Two days later, there is a record.
The band's statement about it is worth reading whole. "Your mind can be your most powerful tool or a weapon used against you in your darkest moments, and the only guaranteed way to fail yourself and your loved ones is to quit," they said. "As the world continues to be destroyed from within by greed, religious extremism, and 24 hour news cycles of division and violations of human rights… it has never been more apparent that all we have is each other. Use your hate to make a change. Don't be disgraced."
"Won't Be Disgraced" is dedicated to Bohan Daniel Lueders — Bo Lueders, the HARM'S WAY guitarist who died earlier this year. The dedication runs into the music itself: closing track "Warriors Will Reign" is a HARM'S WAY cover, and it carries guest vocals from Karl Buechner of EARTH CRISIS, Ray Cappo of YOUTH OF TODAY and SHELTER, and HARM'S WAY's own James Pligge, among others. It is less a cover than a roll call.
The EP was recorded and mixed by Taylor Young at The Pit Recording Studio and mastered by Brad Boatright, with cover art by James Bousema. It is streaming now; the 12" follows on October 30.
GOD'S HATE play a record release show tonight, August 18, at Midnight Hour in San Fernando, California, with TWITCHING TONGUES, INTERNAL AFFAIRS / PIECE BY PIECE, HUMAN GARBAGE, START TODAY and FIRESTARTER.
