HOLISSSTIK have unveiled "Reoccurring Dreams," the newest preview of their debut album Chapter 1: This Endless Solitude, due August 14, 2026 via Season of Mist.
However his genius takes shape, Tor-Helge Skei remains one of the most consistent and consistently surprising figures in extreme music. As a founding member of the critically acclaimed MANES and LETHE, the Norwegian multi-instrumentalist and producer has spent three decades dismantling the boundary between metal and electronic music, rarely making the same record twice and never making the one anybody expected.
HOLISSSTIK is the widest that vision has ever spread. Billed as a collective experiment rather than a band, it pulls in fellow members of MANES and LETHE alongside underground veterans and rising names from the avant-garde, with the lineup shifting from track to track. The result sits under the banner of dark electronic, though the material released so far has moved freely between trip-hop, industrial, ambient and something closer to song.
"Reoccurring Dreams" is the third piece of the album to surface, following "The Rhythm Of Silence" — the trip-hop, industrial and rap hybrid that opened the campaign — and July's "Would You Take This Heart," a track Skei described as having grown "heavier and heavier, darker and darker" as collaborators layered their parts onto what began as a simple ambient instrumental.
