German power metal mainstays IRON SAVIOR will release a new studio album, "Deathbringer", on November 13, 2026 via Frontiers Music Srl. The first single, "Back From The Fires Of Hell", is out now with an official visualizer.
The song carries a weight beyond its title's callback to "Through The Fires Of Hell" from 2023's "Firestar". Vocalist, guitarist and producer Piet Sielck explained that he started writing the lyrics before his life changed. "I wrote the first lyrics before I received my cancer diagnosis. Then poetry turned into bitter reality — although in a different way than I had originally imagined. We went through this together. 'Through The Fires Of Hell' is therefore more like poetry dedicated to my wife, while 'Back From The Fires Of Hell' is more of a reflection on actual events."
The album also marks a new label home. "I'm extremely excited to announce that IRON SAVIOR has joined the Frontiers Music family," Sielck said. "After all these years in the metal world, it feels truly special to start this new journey with a new partner by our side. Even more special is the fact that this step also means reconnecting with longtime friends and companions from the past — people I have shared many years of musical experiences with and who share the same passion for honest, powerful heavy metal. "Deathbringer" arrives in the band's 30th-anniversary year, following the third instalment of the "Reforged" series — full re-recordings of their Noise Records-era material — and a covers album. Sielck produced, mixed and mastered it himself at his own Powerhouse Studio, and wrote all the music and lyrics. The band will tour in support alongside MYSTIC PROPHECY.
It is also a return to the concept format that defined IRON SAVIOR's early records. After two centuries of peace, the galaxy is again on the brink: the Shadows, an insectoid species and ancient enemy of mankind, have come back. Aboard the vast Deathbringer vessel, their immortal Queen keeps the last of her species preserved inside an eternal digital hive, sustained by the life force of countless worlds — and the Iron Savior and the Alliance must face an enemy stronger than any before.
Musically the band promise their trademark anthemic streak: the motivational charge of "Climbing Higher", a melodic speed metal excursion in "Light In The Dark", the fast title track, and the stomping "Creature's Tale". Bonus tracks include "No Deal" and a cover of JUDAS PRIEST's "Fever".
