MEGADETH have announced "Breakout: Hibernation Of The Nations," a 24-date European arena tour running from March 9 through April 13, 2027, with BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and TESTAMENT joining as direct support.
The run is the European chapter of the thrash metal pioneers' ongoing multi-year global farewell campaign. It kicks off March 9 at The O2 in Belfast before working through the United Kingdom — including London's OVO Arena Wembley on March 11, Manchester's Co-op Live, Glasgow's OVO Hydro and Leeds' First Direct Bank Arena — and on to mainland Europe. Continental stops include Paris's Zénith Paris - La Villette (March 21), Amsterdam's AFAS Live, Copenhagen's K.B. Hallen, Berlin's Velodrom (April 1), Kraków's Tauron Arena, Milan's Unipol Forum and Barcelona's Olimpic Arena (April 10), with the tour closing April 13 in Lisbon at Sagres Campo Pequeno.
Frontman Dave Mustaine framed the trek as a celebration rather than a send-off. "It's about celebrating everything we've built together over the last four decades," he said of the tour, which arrives roughly 40 years after MEGADETH's 1985 formation.
BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, led by guitarist Zakk Wylde, and Bay Area thrash veterans TESTAMENT round out a bill built almost entirely from the genre's founding generation — a pairing likely to draw heavily from all three bands' catalogs across three-plus decades of thrash and heavy metal history.
Tickets go on sale in three stages. MEGADETH's "Cyber Army" fan-club presale opens Tuesday, August 4 at 10 a.m. local time, followed by an artist presale on Wednesday, August 5, and general on-sale Friday, August 7 — all through the band's official ticketing portal. VIP packages will be available with meet-and-greet opportunities, premium merchandise, early venue entry and other exclusive fan experiences.
