Rob Zombie has released the official video for "Black Rat Coffin", another track lifted from "The Great Satan", his eighth solo album, out now on Nuclear Blast Records.
The record arrived earlier this year and ended a five-year gap since his previous full-length. It has already yielded a run of singles and videos — "Punks And Demons", "Heathen Days", "(I'm A) Rock 'N' Roller", "F.T.W. 84", "The Black Scorpion" and "Tarantula" — and "Black Rat Coffin" continues a rollout that has stayed steady rather than front-loaded.
"The Great Satan" landed to strong reviews and did the job commercially, opening with 35,000 copies in its first week. Across its running time it does what Zombie albums have always done: deliver oversized, hook-driven anthems built on groove and spectacle, delivered by one of heavy music's more instantly identifiable voices.
Zombie spent this summer on the road across North America on a co-headline run with Marilyn Manson.
