SEES Unveil Debut Album 'Suoja' — Seven Tracks Of Finnish Post-Metal On Agonia Records

Agonia Records have unveiled "Suoja", the debut full-length from Finnish newcomers SEES — a band channelling the hypnotic side of atmospheric metal through expanding melodies and considerable emotional weight. Pre-orders are open now.

The title means "shelter" in Finnish, and across seven compositions the album works the fragile boundary between refuge and isolation. Shimmering guitars, spectral atmospheres and deeply introspective songwriting build into something both intimate and vast, moving between restrained melancholy and towering crescendos. It embraces the cold beauty of the Finnish landscape without ever losing an unmistakably personal voice.

SEES formed in Tampere in 2024 and describe their approach as built on the dynamics of aggressive heaviness and atmospheric soundscaping, with scream-led vocals delivered entirely in Finnish. The label points listeners toward CULT OF LUNA, AMENRA and CONVERGE, which gives a fair sense of the ground being covered.

The album was recorded and produced by Tuomas Kokko, whose credits include SWALLOW THE SUN, GHOST BRIGADE and SARA — a useful signal of the weight and space the record is after.

Agonia have not yet announced a release date for "Suoja"; the label has said artwork and further details are still to come.
