Sharon Osbourne has confirmed that Ozzfest will return in 2027 at Villa Park in Birmingham, England, with an official lineup announcement expected in the near future.
"It's going to be at Villa Park again," Osbourne said, referring to the stadium — home of Aston Villa Football Club — that hosted Ozzy Osbourne's final performance on July 5, 2025. That show reunited the original BLACK SABBATH lineup and drew artists from across the metal world for what became a farewell to the Prince of Darkness, who died shortly after.
Asked about the 2027 artist lineup, Osbourne kept details close: "Of course we're speaking to people. I can't let that out yet, but it'll be soon." She did drop one hint at a dream booking, saying she'd like to "see Rob Halford there" — a nod to potential JUDAS PRIEST involvement, though nothing has been confirmed.
Osbourne indicated the 2027 edition will stay put at Villa Park rather than tour, describing plans for a traveling format as tentative and pushed to 2028 "and beyond," contingent on demand.
Reflecting on what made the original Ozzfest era work, Osbourne emphasized its communal spirit over industry competitiveness: "It was more fun... never anybody jockeying for position or thought they were better than anyone else. It was a summer camp." That description has become something of a mission statement as the festival's organizers plan its next chapter following Ozzy's death.
Ozzfest ran as a touring North American festival from 1996 through the mid-2010s before scaling back to occasional one-off events, with Villa Park now positioned as the spiritual home base of its revival. No dates, ticket information or format details beyond the venue have been announced.
