SID WILSON has been fired from SLIPKNOT, according to a source with direct knowledge of the situation cited by TMZ. Wilson, the band's turntablist, was reportedly notified of his permanent dismissal late Friday afternoon.
It is presently unclear what led to Wilson's exit. No statement has been issued by SLIPKNOT, and no replacement has been named.
Wilson, known to SLIPKNOT's audience as #0, joined the band as its DJ in 1998 and became one of the group's most visually distinctive members, producing sound effects and background noise from behind his turntables while performing under the alter ego DJ Starscream. He's also one of SLIPKNOT's most physically committed performers on stage, a reputation that dates back to a 2008 show where he shattered both heels diving off a stage riser.
The dismissal lands during an eventful stretch in Wilson's personal life. He and Kelly Osbourne — daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne — got engaged in July 2025 at BLACK SABBATH's "Back To The Beginning" farewell show, capping a relationship that began in 2022 and produced a son, born in November 2022. The couple split in March 2026.
SLIPKNOT has weathered lineup changes before — most notably the death of founding drummer Joey Jordison's estrangement from the band years before his 2021 passing, and the more recent departure of drummer Jay Weinberg — but Wilson's dismissal removes one of the band's original members and a fixture of its identity since the "Iowa" era.
