TWISTED SISTER played their first concert with former SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach on Friday night, August 28, at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey.
The show was announced under the name BENT BROTHER — TWISTED SISTER's long-running alter ego — before promotion switched to the real thing: the live debut of a new touring lineup built around Bach on lead vocals, founding guitarists Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda, bassist Russell Pzütto and drummer Joey Cassata. Eleven more shows follow this fall with the same lineup.
The setlist leaned hard on the club years rather than the MTV ones. After "What You Don't Know (Sure Can Hurt You)" and "You Can't Stop Rock 'N' Roll", the band worked through "Shoot 'Em Down", "Tear It Loose", "Destroyer", "The Kids Are Back", "Under The Blade" and "Burn In Hell" before the inevitable "I Wanna Rock" and "We're Not Gonna Take It". Two SKID ROW songs went in as well — "I Remember You" and "Youth Gone Wild" — which is exactly what Bach said would happen.
Bach took the job after Dee Snider resigned from TWISTED SISTER citing health challenges, and he has spent most of 2026 making the case that he is a fan first. "I am a fan of TWISTED SISTER. And I'll tell you right now, I'm probably a bigger fan of TWISTED SISTER than anybody watching this," he told Detroit's WRIF in March. "I love the album 'You Can't Stop Rock 'N' Roll' with songs like 'The Kids Are Back', 'Ride To Live, Live To Ride'. I love the 'Under The Blade' album."
He was also specific about which version of the band he intends to reproduce. "When they were a club band, they would come out there like a punk rock band or a total thrash metal band. I mean, if you listen to their version of 'It's Only Rock 'N' Roll (But I Like It)' by THE ROLLING STONES, it's like a speed metal tempo… Well, that's the kind of energy that I'm gonna bring."
On SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk" in March, he described a 45-minute phone call with Snider before taking the gig. "I have tears in my eyes right now. I am SMF Number Two. I was named that by Dee Snider," he said. "We talked for about 45 minutes, and we were both kind of getting teary eyed."
Fan-filmed footage of the full show is already online.
