Osmose Productions have named October 30 as the international release date for "For The Blood Of Tiamat - Praxis I - XXX Years Anniversary Of Magick And Metamorphosis", a mini-album from Greek black metal band ACHERONTAS. It comes out on CD, 12" vinyl and cassette.
Four tracks, twenty-five minutes, and no attempt whatsoever to make any of it casual. The label frames the record as three decades of Nightside practice — experience, contemplation and what it calls relentless exploration of the primordial Mysteries of Blood and the Great Mother Tiamat — compressed into four ritual invocations that function as four gates of a single rite.
The sequence is meant to be read in order. "Crowned in the Higher Self" opens the working, with the initiate entering the path of inner sovereignty as the Drakonian Current wakes. "Abyssic Rite of Self-Deification" takes it downward, where Blood, Fire and experiential initiation dissolve the profane self and expose the eternal Principle hidden inside the Magician. "For The Blood of Tiamat" is the offering proper, made to the Primordial Mother whose Blood feeds the mysteries of transformation and the cycle of becoming. The closing "Ex Tenebris Ad Lucem, Ex Lucem Ad Abyssum" seals the rite at the point where Light and Darkness stop opposing each other and become one gateway, through which the Dragon carries on past matter and past time.
Musically the label splits the record three-and-one: three hymns holding to the atavistic, raw and timeless spirit that has always run through the Coven, and a fourth ceremonial invocation that crowns the whole thing through Fire, Blood and vision beyond matter. Osmose put the Draconian Archetype here as a living reality rather than a symbol — approached through experiential initiation, old philosophies, ritual practice and the hidden sciences of transformation rather than through dogma.
