Gothenburg speed metal outfit ARMORY have unveiled "Pillars of Fire", the second track from their fourth album Echoes of the Astrolith. The record arrives on October 23 through Dying Victims Productions, and the new song is streaming exclusively at NoCleanSinging.
"Pillars of Fire" closes the album and follows "Interceptor Squadron", which came out earlier with an official video.
Since 2012 ARMORY have built their own sci-fi corner of speed metal on the foundations of JUDAS PRIEST, AGENT STEEL and SLAYER, across three albums and last year's Black Star EP. Echoes of the Astrolith is their first full-length with new vocalist C. Rostoff, and the label says the band have also turned darker and heavier: still speed metal, but more relentless, with song structures edging into technical territory. Nine of the ten tracks are full songs; "Omens" is an instrumental interlude.
