MNRK Music Group has acquired the complete recorded catalogue of BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, taking ownership of more than two decades of Zakk Wylde's output in one of the larger heavy-music catalogue deals of the year.
The purchase covers all eleven BLACK LABEL SOCIETY studio albums — "Stronger Than Death," "1919 Eternal," "The Blessed Hellride" and "Order Of The Black" among them — along with the band's live records, compilations and EPs, and Wylde's own solo material, including the acoustic "Unblackened."
It is less a new relationship than a formalised one. MNRK has worked with Wylde for years, and the label is framing the acquisition as groundwork for reissues, catalogue curation and legacy campaigns rather than a passive asset purchase. Wylde will stay involved in how the material is presented.
"Zakk has been part of the MNRK family for many years, and this deal reflects the strength of that relationship," said Sean Stevenson, CEO and president of MNRK Music Group. "BLACK LABEL SOCIETY has built one of the most enduring and loyal fanbases in heavy music. Owning and continuing to grow this catalog is a natural next step for us, and we're proud to deepen our partnership with Zakk for the long term."
Scott Givens, SVP of MNRK Heavy, pointed at the obvious commercial logic. "Zakk Wylde is one of the true icons of modern heavy music. The BLACK LABEL SOCIETY catalog represents decades of powerful songwriting, unforgettable riffs, and an incredibly dedicated global audience. We're excited to bring new energy to these releases and continue expanding their reach across streaming, vinyl, and new generations of fans."
Wylde founded BLACK LABEL SOCIETY in 1998 and has run it around his other job — he first joined Ozzy Osbourne's band nearly four decades ago and has played on every Osbourne solo album except 2020's "Ordinary Man," including "No More Tears," "Ozzmosis" and "Black Rain." BLACK LABEL SOCIETY's commercial peak came with "Order Of The Black" in 2010 and "Catacombs Of The Black Vatican" in 2014, both of which reached the hard rock top five. The band's most recent album, "Engines of Demolition," arrived this March.
MNRK is among the largest independent music companies in the world, operating across every major market, with Dualtone Music Group, Last Gang and Prosthetic Records under its umbrella.
