BLUE MEDUSA have released "Crocodile", their third single, with a video to go with it — and the song does what the title implies.
"It's the feeling that something is lurking just beneath the surface of what appears to be safe or familiar," Alissa White-Gluz said of the track. The crocodile is the image: motionless, submerged, entirely visible if you know where to look, and lethal at the moment you stop watching. The song is about hidden danger and being watched, and it is built to sit in that discomfort rather than resolve it.

The band around her is worth listing in full. Alyssa Day, of MINDSCAR and ABSENTIA, and Dani Sophia, formerly of Till Lindemann's band, play guitars. Alicia Vigil — DRAGONFORCE, VIGIL OF WAR — plays bass. Delaney Jaster of STITCHED UP HEART is on drums. It is a lineup assembled from working touring musicians rather than a studio project with a famous name attached, which shows in how the material has been rolled out: singles at a steady clip, each one with a video.
BLUE MEDUSA launched in March 2026 with "Checkmate" and followed it with "Flying Monkey" in May. "Crocodile" is the third, and the pattern now looks less like a side project and more like a band assembling a record in public.
White-Gluz's year has been busy even by her standards. She has fronted ARCH ENEMY since 2014, and in May 2026 was announced as DRAGONFORCE's new vocalist — that band's first-ever frontwoman, debuting with them at Welcome To Rockville. Three bands is an unusual load, and the touring schedule reflects it.
BLUE MEDUSA play Louder Than Life in Louisville on September 18 and Aftershock in Sacramento on October 2. Next summer takes them to Europe: Wacken Open Air from July 28 to 31, Leyendas Del Rock in Spain from August 11 to 14, and Summer Breeze Open Air in Germany from August 18 to 21. For a band three singles into its existence, that is a considerable festival routing — and the first real test of whether the material holds up on a main stage rather than a screen.
"Crocodile" is out now on all digital platforms.
