French modern progressive metal outfit BUY JUPITER have released EARTH, out now on CD and digital. The album concludes the science-fiction narrative the band has been building since 2013 across Departure (2016), Crossworlds (2017) and Eclipse (2019), a conceptual universe inspired by Isaac Asimov's short story of the same name.
EARTH chronicles the return of Jovian exiles to humanity's home planet, triggering a conflict of domination, survival and liberation — and every track comes with an original short story published through the band's platforms. The singles "Embrace Of The Serpent God," "The Wake" and "Surge" already hinted at the album's range, from oppressive tension to groove-driven momentum.
Fans of BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME, MESHUGGAH, LAMB OF GOD, TEXTURES and VILDHJARTA will recognize familiar DNA. Over 13 years the band has played Sylak Open Air, Hellfest Warm Up and Lions Metal Fest, sharing stages with BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME, PROTEST THE HERO, BENIGHTED and GOROD.
