CARCASS have postponed their "Putrefying Down Under" Australian and New Zealand tour, along with dates in China and India, because drummer Dan Wilding cannot be away from home.
The band's statement was direct about the reason and firm about the limits of what they would say. "We're incredibly sorry to announce that we have decided to reschedule our upcoming 'Putrefying Down Under' Australia / NZ tour along with our China and India dates. Our drummer Dan is facing a deeply upsetting family situation, and his priority right now is being with his family. Out of respect for everyone involved, we won't be sharing further details, but we hope our fans will understand that this is a situation where family has to come first and he simply cannot be so far away from home for so long."
They did not dress up the decision. "We know how much people have been looking forward to these shows, and postponing them is not a decision we have taken lightly."
One date survives, and the band went out of their way to protect it. "For our fans in India, Bangalore Open Air will still go ahead as scheduled, and we sincerely encourage everyone to attend the festival, support the other bands performing and be part of what will still be an incredible day."
The statement closed on the band's own position: "Thank you for your patience, understanding and, most importantly, your kindness and support at what is a very difficult time for our band and family. All existing tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled dates."
The Australian and New Zealand run now sits in September 2027:
- Sep. 07 — Perth, Magnet House
- Sep. 09 — Adelaide, Lion Arts Factory
- Sep. 10 — Melbourne, Northcote Theatre
- Sep. 11 — Sydney, Liberty Hall
- Sep. 14 — Brisbane, Princess Theatre
- Sep. 15 — Townsville, The Warehouse
- Sep. 17 — Auckland, Galatos
Existing tickets carry over. Wilding has been behind the kit since 2012 and played on "Surgical Steel", "Torn Arteries" and every campaign in between — long enough that the idea of a fill-in for a run of this length across three continents was evidently never seriously on the table.
CARCASS spent the first half of 2026 on the road across Europe and North America with KREATOR, EXODUS and NAILS on the "Krushers Of The World" tour, and are booked for Damnation Festival in the UK. The southern hemisphere waits another year.
