Greece's EMBRACE OF THORNS and Chile's INVOCATION will join forces on Invoking the Noumenon / Crushing the Feeble Messianic Embrace, a split mini-album out October 30 via Iron Bonehead Productions on CD and 12" vinyl formats.
The split totals six songs across 22 minutes, with each band offering three exclusive new tracks. For nearly 30 years, EMBRACE OF THORNS have been crafting blackened, bestial death metal of a most ancient order; their side delivers two martial, bulldozing doses of that characteristic bestiality plus a tensely hushed outro bridging both sides, and marks their first recorded work since 2022's towering Entropy Dynamics. INVOCATION last surfaced with their 2024 debut album The Archaic Sanctuary (Ritual Body Postures) after years of short-format releases, and their three tracks here are classic South American black/death madness — sulfurous execution wrapped in sepulchral atmosphere.
