EPICA Will Play The Royal Albert Hall With A Full Orchestra And Choir — One UK Night, October 2027

EPICA will perform at London's Royal Albert Hall on October 6, 2027, backed by a full orchestra and choir. It is the band's first appearance at the venue, a UK-exclusive date, and the next stop in a 25th-anniversary year that has only just started.

The show is part of "The Symphonic Synergy", the format EPICA built in 2024 across four sold-out nights in Amsterdam and Mexico City. Those performances put the band on stage with an orchestra and choir in front of a combined 30,000 people, and rather than leaving it as a one-off, EPICA are now taking the production around the world on a small number of very deliberately chosen dates.

EPICA formed in the Netherlands in 2002 and announced themselves the following year with "The Phantom Agony", a debut that already had the balance they have spent a quarter of a century refining: orchestral scale on one side, progressive metal weight on the other, neither one used as decoration for the other. The lineup that carries it is Simone Simons on lead vocals, Mark Jansen supplying the growls and the counterweight, Isaac Delahaye on guitars, Coen Janssen writing the symphonic arrangements, Ariën Van Weesenbeek on drums and Rob Van Der Loo on bass.

The Royal Albert Hall date sits at the end of a busy stretch. EPICA head to Asia this month, then open 2027 with three sold-out nights at the Royal Theatre Carré in Amsterdam before a South American run in March.
