Finnish black metallers FLAME are streaming their long-awaited third album, Ignis Draconis Daemonicus, in full via the Black Metal Promotion YouTube channel ahead of its international release on September 25 through Primitive Reaction.

Formed in 1998 in Kuopio by erstwhile members of BARATHRUM and URN, FLAME forged their blend of ancient blackthrash and bestial metal across the albums Into the Age of Fire and March Into Firelands, resurfacing with the acclaimed Ignis Spiritus mini-album in 2020. The new record — its title Latin for "Fire of the Demonic Dragon" — continues that progression, with founding vocalist/guitarist Blackvenom steering the lyrics from early blasphemy toward poetry rooted in occult and esoteric traditions, from Thelema to Chaos Magick and Luciferian philosophy.
The album was recorded by Chris Nunravager (ex-ADORIOR) at Rat Nest Recording and mixed by Greg Chandler of ESOTERIC at Priory Recording Studios. "We set our bar high for this album to sound the strongest, heaviest, and at the same time as dynamic as possible so far," Blackvenom comments. "Greg did a fantastic job! He created the perfect soundscapes that combine heaviness, rawness, and epic atmospheres, but still keeping our overall sound rooted in the underground spirit!"
