FRACTURUS have released "The Created Divine", the second single from their forthcoming album, and used it to put a name, a face and a date on the record itself. "The Synthetic Path" arrives on October 12, 2026.
The single is out now across the major streaming platforms and comes with an official lyric video.
"The Created Divine" is the second look the Canadian extreme metal band have offered at this chapter, following "Grace To Man" — the track we covered back in August, which doubled as the introduction of a substantially rebuilt lineup. That lineup is the one carrying the new album: vocalist Patrick Goyette, whose track record takes in HYMNOSIS, VISIONS UNSEEN and CHRONOCHROMIE, and lead guitarist Rémi LeGresley, who has played live with CRYPTOPSY and BLACKGUARD and appeared with INNER TURMOIL and VISIONS UNSEEN among others.
That is a Québec extreme metal pedigree assembled with some deliberation, and the CRYPTOPSY thread runs deeper than one live credit — the band's 2023 album "Versus The Void" was tracked with Chris Donaldson, whose fingerprints sit across a great deal of the province's death metal output.
Alongside the single, FRACTURUS have unveiled the title and the artwork for "The Synthetic Path". A physical CD edition can be preordered now, directly from the band through their own online store rather than through a label channel.
The band will take the record out for four Canadian shows at the end of October, running from Ontario through to Québec City across four consecutive nights:
| Date | City | Venue |
|---|---|---|
| Oct. 28 | London, Ontario | Supply & Demand |
| Oct. 29 | Toronto, Ontario | Sneaky Dee's |
| Oct. 30 | Montréal, Québec | Piranha Bar |
| Oct. 31 | Québec City, Québec | Sonum |
Closing the run on Halloween night in Québec City is not the worst piece of scheduling a death metal band has ever done.
