Danish metal outfit GRADIENCE have unveiled a video for "Agony", taken from the band's debut full-length "Anomaly", out now on Metal Blade Records.
"People who know us by now should be aware that we like to mix things up and see what we can make work," comments guitarist/vocalist Jakob Lærke Harris. "'Agony' is our 'fun' party anthem song and our attempt at making the nastiest riff work with some upbeat synth neatly packaged with rap and screams to keep people moving at our shows."
GRADIENCE formed in 2022, when trap-rapper Gavin Mistry and extreme metal guitarist Jakob Lærke Harris met at a CABAL show in Copenhagen. On "Anomaly" the duo — completed by drummer Frederik Kjelstrup Hansen and bassist Patrick Petersen — collides sludgy blackened death metal with dark trap-rap, glacial synths and emotive vocal lines.
