French heavy hardcore crew HEADBUSSA will release their first full-length album, Survival Measures, on November 13 via DAZE. The first single, "Immortality," is out now.
Formed in 2021, the band mix traditional heavy hardcore with beatdown and have released two EPs so far: Necessary Violence (2021) and Vengeful Mind (2023). Along the way they have shared stages with KNOCKED LOOSE, TERROR, SUNAMI and LAST WISHES.
"Immortality" goes straight for the throat with shifting riffs, mosh-ready drums and the band's three-way vocal attack, its lyrics fixated on death. Across the album's ten tracks, HEADBUSSA take a dark, aggressive look at human nature.
Survival Measures was recorded partly at home, with drums tracked at L'Autre Oreille Studio and additional vocals recorded by Ricardo Broken Data. Evan Perino mixed the record, and Brad Boatright mastered it.
HEADBUSSA are Loic (vocals), Gaultier (guitar, vocals), Hugo (guitar, vocals), Baptiste (bass) and Emile (drums).
