French raw black metal project HYVER — featuring members of VÉHÉMENCE, GRYLLE and HANTERNOZ — will release their fourth album, La Fête de la Forêt Enchantée, on October 8 via Antiq.
The band frames the record as an answer to TAUFPATIN's attacks "only with positivity, brightness and joy." HYVER unites with Koshka Netopyr (Little Bat) for a monument of raw black metal with bat shrieks as vocals, playful synths, aggressive drumming and euphoric bursts of joy. The whole concept lives in the track titles, sketching an enchanted forest feast: an invitation, a mysterious path, a moonlit dance in the clearing, a toast of the toads — until someone stamps on a toad and the party ends in the howl of an ambulance siren.
