MASTER BOOT RECORD to release "Computer Metal" on October 30th via Metal Blade Records

Italy's MASTER BOOT RECORD will release its new full-length "Computer Metal" on October 30th via Metal Blade Records. Lead single "DOT MATRIX" is streaming now at Metal Blade.

The follow-up to 2024's "Hardwarez", "Computer Metal" was written via MIDI in Cubase with the computer as the main instrument, refining a hybrid of real guitar layered with synths. Across its ten tracks the record shifts through hardcore, progressive, thrash, melodic, death, symphonic and industrial metal — each song expressing a different style, all realised on the machine.

"'Hardwarez' was about the hardware; 'Computer Metal' is more connected to what computers represent in our lives and the memory we have of them," explains multi-instrumentalist mastermind Vittorio D'Amore. "This album is a sort of codex of the genre."

The album arrives on CD, digital and several vinyl variants — pre-orders at Metal Blade.
