NEKUS and BLOODSOAKED NECROVOID will join forces on Funerary Rites of Ancient Doom, a split album out October 16 via Caligari Records and Seed of Doom Records on vinyl LP format.
The split pairs two of sepulchral death metal's mightiest hordes across four tracks and 36 minutes of exclusive material. Germany's NEKUS take Side A with a single mammoth 19-minute piece, "Dakhma," shifting effortlessly between bestial gnashing and desolate, funereal trudge in the band's characteristic blend of the avant-garde and total caveman construction. Side B belongs to BLOODSOAKED NECROVOID — Costa Rican-born and recently relocated to Spain — who follow an eerie intro with two new expulsions of their suffocating sound, closer to slow-motion grind than orthodox doom-death and more atmospheric than ever.
