Swedish heavy metallers OVERTURE are premiering the new track "Fading Away" exclusively at Deaf Forever magazine's website. The song appears on the band's new mini-album "The Final Straw", which Dying Victims Productions releases internationally on CD and 12" vinyl on November 20th.
Founded in the summer of 2021 by lead guitarist/vocalist Adrian Tobar, OVERTURE gained cult status in the trad heavy metal scene with "Demo 2022" before disbanding in 2023. Tobar revived the project in early 2026 with a three-song EP, and now returns with an entirely new line-up: Marlon Nachsel (rhythm guitar), Wilmer Jansson (drums) and Adam Sjö (bass), alongside Tobar.
Spanning five songs in 24 minutes, "The Final Straw" pairs trad Swedish heavy metal in the vein of HEAVY LOAD with the melancholic melodicism of peak DOKKEN and early-'80s SCORPIONS.
