SLIPKNOT have unleashed "Arsenal", the band's first new song in over three years. The anthemic release arrives with a music video directed by M. Shawn Crahan (Clown) and starring Jackson White.
"Arsenal" deploys nearly every weapon SLIPKNOT own: pummeling dynamics, razor-sharp vocals, knifing keyboards and riffs measured in tons. "I fought a f*cking god and the god lost," frontman Corey Taylor proclaims, ripping across the track with self-aware braggadocio and melding metal, punk and hip-hop verses — before screeching the song to a halt and bulldozing the wall of sound behind him.
Nearly three decades in, the Iowa nine remain one of the most influential heavy bands of the 21st century, and "Arsenal" is a compressed, focused display of the firepower they've honed along the way.
