WAGE WAR will release "Landfall" on October 9 through Fearless Records — thirteen songs, and a title track that says exactly where the band's heads have been.
"'Landfall' is a song about imminent danger and the realization that we aren't in control," the band said. "Referencing our Florida roots, the hurricane imagery became a way of talking about that feeling of being completely at the mercy of something bigger than yourself."

Coming from a band out of Ocala, that is not a borrowed metaphor. Hurricane season is a fact of the calendar in central Florida, and the specific psychology of it — the days of watching a forecast cone narrow, the certainty that something is coming and the total absence of anything you can do about it — is a reasonable frame for a metalcore record.
The tracklist runs "Landfall", "Sweet Dreams", "Silk", "Figure 8", "God Complex", "Stay With Me", "Silence Has Spoken", "Way Of Pain", "Red Dot", "Blindfold", "Spellbound", "Song Of The Swamp" and "Silhouette".
"Sweet Dreams" has been out since August, when the band described it as a song about being deceived by the world around you. It now sits second on the record, and in hindsight reads as part of the same argument the title track makes.
WAGE WAR are Briton Bond on lead vocals, Cody Quistad on rhythm guitar and clean vocals, Seth Blake on lead guitar, Chris Gaylord on bass and Stephen Kluesener on drums — the two-vocalist structure that has been the band's signature since "Blueprints" in 2015, and which has kept them on the harder end of a scene that has drifted steadily toward pop production.
The album follows the "It Calls Me By Name" EP from spring 2026, a release that functioned as a bridge rather than a statement. "Landfall" is the statement.
The touring behind it is called Emergency Broadcast and runs October 25 through November 27, with WE CAME AS ROMANS, VARIALS and CANE HILL along for it. The run closes on November 27 in Orlando — a home-state finish, and the obvious place to end a record about weather coming ashore.
