Paris melodic metal band BORN FROM LIE are back after a long silence: their new album, Into Madness, arrives digitally on November 6, 2026, and the first single, "Our Darkest Hour", is out now with an official video.
"Our Darkest Hour" looks at war from an angle metal rarely takes. Instead of the battlefield, the song centers on the mothers left behind, forced to watch helplessly as their children are sent off to fight and die in a conflict the band describes as having no justification and no reason to exist.
Formed in Paris in 2014, BORN FROM LIE put out three albums through Brennus Music, blending melodic rock, heavy metal and harsher influences around themes of inner struggle and the darker side of the human condition. After the third record, The New World Order Part 1, the band split: Jérôme and Pascal went on to form JIRFIYA with singer Ingrid Denis. Once JIRFIYA wound down and after a long break, Jérôme Thellier decided to bring BORN FROM LIE back to life.
Thellier admits the road to Into Madness was full of doubt. He says he often wondered whether he could still make the album he wanted and how to get it right, until he stopped setting limits for himself and simply made the record he had always wanted to make. "Into Madness is the result — an album born from that journey, and one that finally captures the sound I have been searching for all these years. I am incredibly proud of it," he says.
The album is a digital-only release and is available for pre-order on Bandcamp now.
