Polish death metallers BURNING CREATION have released a lyric video for "Nothing's Gonna Save You", the first single from their upcoming album Breath of Fire. The record arrives digitally and on CD on November 13, 2026 through Via Nocturna, and pre-orders are open at the label's webstore.
The band formed in Żywiec in early 2022, when brothers Jarosław and Marek Klimonda started it after putting HAURES on hold. The Never Dead Nation EP followed a year later, then the debut full-length Sea of Dead Bodies, which kept them busy on stages across Poland.
Those early releases sat firmly in melodic death and viking metal. Breath of Fire marks a deliberate shift: the new songs are heavier, rawer and more direct, drawing on the old-school Swedish death metal tradition, with the melodic and viking elements now used as accents rather than the backbone. The band points to UNLEASHED, HYPOCRISY and DARK TRANQUILLITY as starting points, and WOLFHEART fans are also in the target audience.
Conceptually, the album continues the saga of the earlier records. The undead warriors who rose from their tombs and crossed a sea of corpses now begin the final march of the Undead Nation against a civilization that abandoned its ancient beliefs. Norse mythology runs through the lyrics, from the last battle between Vidar and Fenrir to the underwater realm of Ægir and Rán and the frozen land that awaits those who did not die in battle.
Drums and bass were tracked at Sound Stone Studio with Paweł Kurowski, while guitars and vocals were recorded with Marek Stefaniak, who also mixed and mastered the album. The cover is by Damian Bydliński, whose previous work includes artwork for LUCIFER'S FRIEND and RIVERSIDE.
The lineup is Maciej Konior (vocals, rhythm guitar), Marek Klimonda (lead guitar), Piotr Czopek (bass) and Jarosław Klimonda (drums).
