CARNIVORE A.D. will head back to Europe next spring for the "Transmutation European Tour 2027": eight shows across the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Germany between April 23 and May 1. Swedish thrashers HOSTILIA join the first five dates, while German death metal band WILT supports on the final two nights in Germany.
To mark the announcement, the trio has released an official music video for "I Stand Alone", a track from its debut EP Transmutation, which came out earlier this year via Apostasy Records.
The lineup features bassist and vocalist Baron Misuraca (SHEER TERROR, DARKSIDE NYC), guitarist Chuck Lenihan (CRUMBSUCKERS, CHRISTIAN DEATH) and drummer Joe Cangelosi (KREATOR, MASSACRE, WHIPLASH). The project was founded with the blessing of original CARNIVORE drummer Louie Beateaux and is dedicated to the memory of Peter Steele and Keith Alexander. After years of performing Steele's CARNIVORE material at festivals such as Hellfest, Brutal Assault and Maryland Deathfest, the band stepped beyond the tribute role with Transmutation, its first set of original songs. We covered the EP's announcement back in March.
Before the European run, CARNIVORE A.D. plays two U.S. shows in November. Because the original pressing of Transmutation sold out quickly, a U.S. CD repress in a cardboard sleeve will debut at those gigs, with wider distribution to follow in the coming weeks.
