Swedish melodic power metal band DYNAZTY have signed with Napalm Records and will release their tenth album, Dark Arts, on March 5, 2027. The first single, "The Mission", is out now with an official video.
"We are greatly excited about joining forces with Napalm Records for this next phase of DYNAZTY," the band says, calling the label the kind of team "we have been looking for for a long time."
Dark Arts is a twelve-song concept record split into two acts — "Descent" and "Ascent" — that travels into the darker corners of the human psyche and back out again. The band wrote much of it while touring 2022's Game Of Faces, a process they describe as taking them "close to the brink of exhaustion and literal madness." Their verdict: "'Dark Arts' is the band's most accomplished work... one hell of a melodic heavy metal ride and journey from start to finish."
"The Mission" was one of the first songs written for the album. "It's a song about the relentless nature of the human spirit to overcome obstacles and insurmountable hardships," the band explains. It's built on the soaring voice of Nils Molin, who also sings in AMARANTHE.
A deluxe edition adds two bonus songs and artwork by Péter Sallai. Next up for DYNAZTY is a support run with ACCEPT on the German veterans' 50th-anniversary tour.
